There are saves and then there are saves that are really unique. In the case of Investigator Bob Dilling, Hometown Police, Illinois, his Force One body armor not only saved him from possible death or injury, but he was so well protected that he didn't even know he had been shot until a few days later!

This is how he described what happened...

"I just wanted to say thank you. It is because of your vest that I am able to write this letter. On the 24th of January 2008, I was going over my body armor and equipment when my wife and I noticed a small hole in the rear left side of my body armor. Upon further investigation I found the 22 caliber bullet at the inside bottom lining of my body armor cover. I checked my duty leather and found a bullet hole that was consistent with the hole in the body armor cover. I could not remember hearing a gunshot, however on the 17th of this month I had made a traffic stop on 87th St & Homan in unincorporated Cook County, which borders the City of Chicago, When I exited the squad car I thought a rock hit me, and I shrugged it off, and as it turns out I was shot!!!
