in Memory of James RileyWe grieve the loss of  James "Fred" Riley and he will always remain close to our hearts. A funeral service for James “Fred” Riley, 71, of Newark will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens, where military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. 

 

Mr. Riley passed away July 27, 2009 at the Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born January 8, 1938 in Newark to the late James David and Theresa (Arnold) Riley.


He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

 

He is survived by his wife, Lucretia Riley of Newark; three children, David James (Jennifer) Riley of VA, Lori Ann (Delmar) Grady of Newark, Christopher Whyde of CA; three sisters, Molly Overby of Heath, Teresa (Gary) Grigsby of Newark, Ruth Jones of WA; two brothers, Bill (Mary Lou) Riley of Newark and Patrick (Billie) Riley of Newark; step brother, Joe (Peggy) Servoza, and one granddaughter, Sarah Grady; and several grandchildren.
